You will then get hands-on and you will have a go at glass cutting, copper foiling and soldering and you will make a four piece stained glass panel to take home. To book you need to have a group of 4 and we can arrange the session at a time to suit your group.
Stained Glass Courses
Copper Foil Stained Glass Courses
Course Length – 6 weeks x 2.5 hours ( Either Evening or Afternoon)
We run a 6 week course that enables learners to create a panel using copper foil stained glass techniques. This is ideal for beginners as well as more experienced learners. The aim of this course is to enable learners to progress in the use of copper foil techniques to create 2D and 3D panels and objects.
Learners will build proficiency in glass cutting and grinding and the application of copper foil and solder.
Leaded Light Stained Glass Courses
Course Length – 6 weeks x 2.5 hours (Either Evening or Afternoon)
We run a 6 week course that enables learners to create a panel using lead techniques. This ideal for learners who have had some experience of copper foil techniques who would like to progress on to lead. One Day Course
Course length – 1 x 7 hours per day (Lanterns or Decorations) Copper Foil
The One Day courses are in Copper Foil and enable learners to create small ornaments and decorations. In addition, learners can create stained glass panels for Lanterns. Learners learn how to cut glass, use a cartoon and make ornaments, decorations or simple panels. Workshops have a seasonal flavour and in the Autumn Term the focus is Christmas Decorations. Spring is Easter Panels and Decorations and Summer Term is sea and beach ornaments and panels.

These courses enable learners to create a Lead Panel in 2 days suitable to go into a garden frame. Learners learn how to cut glass, use a cartoon and use lead and solder to create a panel.
Glass Mosaics Workshops
Course Length – 3.5 hours
New for 2026 we are offering Glass on Glass Mosaic Workshops. These can either be booked on a bespoke session for Groups of 4 or can be booked as an individual workshop on Monday Afternoons fortnightly. Glass Mosaics involves cutting up transparent coloured glass and adhering it to a clear glass panel then grouting the finished picture. You can make panels or decorative items. The glass on glass mosaic can be viewed with light behind it to create a transparent picture.
The Learning Environment: Brixton Barn Studio
Courses are run in a large airy Victorian Barn Workshop. Parking is available on site. We have 6 workstations and a comprehensive range of tools and protective equipment for learners to use. Learners must dress in sensible clothing with appropriate footwear.
There are facilities for refreshments and toilet access in the upstairs office. A full health and safety briefing is arranged to ensure that all learners stay safe.
